Who runs Amboseli National Park
- Before
- Management of the park moved from the national government to Kajiado County in November 2025.
- Now
- The park was handed to Kajiado County in November 2025, but in July 2026 the High Court issued interim orders stopping the county's takeover while a challenge is heard, keeping the park under its existing management.
- Why
- A news report of the court's orders, found while rechecking Amboseli's fees.
Amboseli entry fees: Unconfirmed → Verified
- Before
- The fees matched the KWS tariff but were labelled Unconfirmed, because the county might set its own.
- Now
- The same figures, now labelled Verified: KWS's 2026 rates, reported in September 2026, match, and the court orders keep the park under its existing management. Rechecked monthly while the case is open.
- Why
- New evidence on who sets the fees.

Maasai Mara reserve fees added
- Before
- KenyaPlus said it didn't hold checked Maasai Mara reserve fees.
- Now
- Seasonal entry fees for every visitor group, from the Narok County Finance Act, 2023, labelled Verified.
- Why
- We found and checked the official county Act.

Lake Nakuru's map point
- Before
- Road times used a point that the road-routing service could not reach.
- Now
- The point is near the park's main gate, so road times follow the road into the park.
- Why
- The earlier point gave the routing service no road to follow.
Road times now follow real roads
- Before
- Journey times were estimated from straight-line distance × 1.3 at 50 km/h, which overstated some journeys — Nairobi to Diani came out at more than 9 hours.
- Now
- Times come from openrouteservice road routes plus 20% for stops and slower traffic — Nairobi to Diani is now about 7 hours. Still labelled Estimated.
- Why
- We added road routing data (OpenStreetMap, via openrouteservice).
